What is Ulila Bayani?? The literal translation of these two words is orphan hero. And that is what these precious children in the Philippines need – heroes. Heroes that will not only support them but stick with them long enough to see them adopted into a loving family. Or, if that is not possible, stick with them until they are grown and able to stand on their own 2 feet – being self-supportive and able to break the cycle of poverty and hopelessness. And that is why we have started a giving program called Ulila Bayani.
Ulila Bayani is a group of orphan heroes, a team of passionate monthly givers who want to see lasting change in the lives of Filipino orphans. This kind of ongoing monthly support provides immediate impact as it enables us to consistently provide shelter, food, clothing, education, and medical care for the Philippines’ most vulnerable children. It also enables us to expand and build more orphanages and rescue more orphans. The goal – to end the orphan crisis in the Philippines. Almost 2,000,000 orphans and far less than 1% are adopted every year. And that is where you come in.
